During a recent Nashville Swing Band performance at The Bluewind, the crowd had a delightful major surprise when the award winning Nashville singing star Pam Tillis joined the the Band to perform a couple of songs.   What a treat, and what a "buzz" when she walked in to hear the Band.  The whole place was on its feet as she delivered a most beautiful version of "Secret Love"and it was magnificent..   Check out " Swing Time"CD  to hear Matt and Pam sing "Always".

"Swing Music is the Heart & Soul of The Nashville Swing Band"

The Nashville Swing Band plays the best variety of swing music you've ever heard, from Western Swing to Jazz Swing, Bob Wills to Duke Ellington and everything in between.   Under the leadership of the legendary Nashville Fiddler, Buddy Spicher, the NSB attracts visiting performers who join in and showcase their "Swing Thing".    The Band is a major attraction in the Nashville entertainment scene.  Since 1994 they have played at Wolfy's and  The Bluewind at the Factory in Franklin,  both now closed and a variety of festivals and special occasions.    The Band's three  albums, "Pick Yourself Up", "Western Swing", and "Swing Time" are now available from this website in THE CD STORE.

"One of my favorite things about Nashville is getting to hear the legendary Buddy Spicher, one of my fiddle heroes, play Tuesday nights at Wolfy's on Lower Broad.  Every Tuesday, people can go to Wolfy's, get a good seat, and hear one of Nashville's finest musicians play great country and swing fiddle."

... Mark O'Connor in Nashville Faces

If you ever  visited  Wolfy's  you might have seen  Mark O'Connor, Crystal Gayle, Pam Tillis, Natalie MacMaster, Joe Manuel, Kurt Storey, Darol Anger, Dale Morris, Randy Elmore, Jay Patton, Johnny Gimble, Ray Benson, Tommy Allsop, and some amazing young talent like Hans Holzen , Robin and Cruz Contreras, and rising star jazz fiddler Billy Contreras, who is the other genius behind Buddy's incomparable twin fiddle harmonies. Wolfy's now has closed .   It was a great musicians hangout...

The Nashville Swing Band

BUDDY SPICHER on fiddle and electric mandolin leads the band and showcases  his legendary talent that has graced hundreds of hit records over his forty year career, performing with great entertainers like George Strait, Hank Snow, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez,  and  Crystal Gayle.

Andrea Ladd is the featured vocalist.  Andrea really makes the joint jump with her wonderful trademark NSB songs like Bonaparte's Retreat, How High the Moon, and Pick Yourself Up.   And as her proud dad, Buddy always introduces Andrea as the beautiful member of the band. Andrea has her own CD out now called "ANDREA LADD AND THE NASHVILLE SWING BAND".

DAVID SPICHER does an incredible job acoustic bass, sings some Western Swing hits like "Roly Poly" and "Ida Red", and switches pace to songs such as "Exactly Like You", and "I'm Beginning to See the Light".   "The Duke" puts on a great show and is the source of most of the on-stage antics.

Matthew Spicher keeps the rhythm driving with his jazz and Western Swing guitar.  Without a lot of coaxing (actually none at all), he will lay down great vocals of "Miss Molly", "Stay All Night" and "After You've Gone".   Not a still foot in the house, either.
